
The Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with the purpose to promote and develop bilateral links and business between Croatia and Sweden.
Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is governed by an annual meeting that elects a representative board (consisting of business leaders from the Croatian and Swedish business society) in accordance with the statutes.
Its members enjoy a modern and efficient infrastructure, contact and business network and events developed exclusively to improve and support the Croatian and Swedish markets. The Chamber offers its members from Croatia and Sweden, industry valuable support, through its sphere of influence, vast network of contacts, and its knowledge of socioeconomic and political relations in the two regions.

The main common objective of the Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is to:
- Encourage and promote an exchange of technology, trade and culture between Sweden and Croatia, while providing members with a broad spectrum of services
- The Chamber will also promote strong links with other countries in Scandinavia and the Baltic region.

With focus on Croatia, the main objectives of the Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is to:
- Increase number of exporting Croatian companies to Sweden
- Optimize the structure of the Croatian export to be competitive on a global market incl.

With focus on Sweden, the main objectives of the Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is to:
- Provide business opportunities for Croatian companies in Sweden
- Increase the exporting capacity
- Shift from physical and human intensive products to high technology products

Sweden is a significant investor in Croatia and until the end of 2008, Swedish investments in Croatia amounted to EUR 188,3 million.
Sweden is ranked the 13th largest investing country on the list of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Croatia. The Swedish export to Croatia accounted for 142 million Euro, and the Croatian Export to Sweden at 75 million Euro. Presently, there are about 30 main Swedish companies represented in Croatia, including ABB, Electrolux, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Sandvik, Scania, SKF, Tetra Pak, Lindab, Oriflame, Volvo Trucks and Tele2,
to name a few.
Croatia has enjoyed one of the highest growth rates within the Central and East Europe. Looking forward, as a likely member of the European Union, Croatia would continue on its path to become a modern, prosperous and successful member of the European community. This will have significant implications on the political, cultural and economical landscape. The Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce will therefore has a natural role in this transition in both directions.
Both Sweden and Croatia have small domestic markets. Presently, Croatian as well as Swedish companies have to become regional or global players to be competitive. They depend heavily on export revenues and, consequently, are very sensitive to global economic conditions. The Croatian Swedish Chamber of Commerce is a valuable knowledge resource to the companies from both countries in their activities at bilateral and/or regional level and in the global environment.
